24 miles, 2,500 ft climbing on a windy, cold, rainy Easter Sunday. What a ride!

I did another evening-to-nighttime ride on the South Hill bluff in Spokane and got a few bits of video.

We did some brand-new trails that have just been connected to the existing trail system. They'll be pretty cool once they've bedded in :)

Is that a tire at 0:37? Random.

Yeah, might've been a marker the trail builders were using.

Tonight I finally escaped from work a little early and jammed up to Bicycle Butler on Reflecto-Bike for the Wednesday-night ride, another evening-to-nightfall ride, and got a bit of video here & there:

Hey, thanks for shooting that, mbg! I had to miss so it was good to tag along via the interwebs. Wow - - madd one-handed camera/riding skillz!

Be sure to shoot a link to Tim via e-mail (spokes@bicyclebutler.com) - - that would be a good one to get on Butler's web site or Facebook page.

Sorry I missed you; I'll be back there next Wed.

My first time posting in this section, I've been a commuter but I got bored and went back to the mountain!

Great ride yesterday, made it to the helipad at South Mountain for the third time! Getting better with the climb every time.

crappy pic of the start

And the top!

I have a feeling one of these days I'm going to snap the crappy little forks on that decent, does that ever happen?

^^ While I didn't snap my fork, I did crash and bend it where the wheel pointed a different direction than the handlebars. I couldn't ride it in limp home mode either because the brake pads no longer hit the rim. It wasn't even that spectacular of a crash; I was just going too fast for a turn going down a small hill and the bike washed out and slid onto it's side with my weight on top of it.

Rodent butt? (I thought this particular part was a delicacy...)

Ya know...I must admit that for a phone...these pic's aren't too aweful.

Finally made the climb from Joshua Tree to Bur Sage without a DAB. Two dabs was the personal prior best. ARGGRRRRRRRRR, feels good.

That's a lot of fun dood!!

You should try that light on your helmet...it's nice always having light where your face is aiming.

Good times.

Sure you do! They just don't run away when you approach them.. very tame though quite stinky.

South Mountain was my personal playground in the 60s. I was back there @ Easter and rode around 51st and Carver, fun area. Good to see a Saguro in the pics. Breakin a crappy fork happens, wear a face guard.
