^^ We must cross paths some; which shop are you referring to? I ride with the Butler group and we hit all the same stomping grounds.

From whence I came.........
Sky's bluer this way (but that would change soon enough)
As I found my tracks snowed in on the return to the car.

Trails are in crap shape at the moment, so garage time. New tubes to replace the way-too-many-patches-on-them ones on the road bike. Local ship inexplicably only had these things, with absurdly long valve stems.
Recently picked up a new poster as well.

Before the start of the 50 year trail. It was super muddy and didn't even think anything of it because it never snows in Tucson. It has been about 5 years since it has snowed on the desert floor.

Last night was tough.
Walked over 1/2 of the 10 miles b/c of drifts, and took about 3 hrs total.
The one [strike]fatbike[/strike] fadbike in attendance did the same.

Everything by me (western CT/eastern NY) is either slop or ice, but for a couple small areas.
Overwinter gnomes put in a new skinny.
Roll or small drop, you've got a bike length to decide.
Meanwhile, back at the cah.
Ninham yesterday- a series of ridges with trail going up the ridges and down the valleys. Updownupdownupdown is the nature of trail there. Only stuff dry was the front side of the first ridge, everything else was either still way too iced over, or sloppy mud. Managed about two hours, doing laps of the front side stuff.

Dry land!
I gotta' pedal more for this one.
Missed the timing on this one.
Winter not all the way done, yet, in repose.

First Wednesday night shop trail ride of the season last night for me. Small group (only four of us), so it clipped right along. I had nothing else to ride, so put 40 psi in the tires, raised the saddle and rode the big 'ol 303R. It was a chore to keep 'em in sight but I slogged along and got to play on a couple loose, rocky descents along the way. A good 2½ hours or so and gawd was I pooped by the time we got back to the shop! Bonus in that it got dark enough to try out my new cheap Chinese light. I am pleased.

Soooooo.. The original 7.6 mile trail I had planned didn't work out. The detour I was going to take would take me back to the main trail and from there I would go back to the start. But the detour didn't exist. At all. I rode back when I realized I'd gone too far and took a different trail when I got back to the start. Ended up being a 9 mile ride. Way to go google maps. Trails that don't even exist. Anyway, I realized how low tire pressure I can go too. I started off at about 50 in both the front and rear but ended up dropping it to about 30 in the front and 38 in the rear. 30 is just 1 psi from the minimum recommended! And best of all, no pinch flats!!!!

First ride ever (I'm a road convert) today on my brand new GT in my new city. I've been here in Boise about 10 weeks and coming from the Midwest, this place is heaven on earth. I'm probably going to be very green for a while but I'm excited about the trails this city has to offer. Today was 90 minutes- no clue how far or how fast but I feel like it wasn't a snail's pace (eta: turns out it was around 6.5 miles). And I got a sunburn which is amazing considering it's March 31st. Awesome day!
