jesus christ, what is up with you people.

what the heck is the point of saying something like "oh yknow i could have given you a challenge, if it were not for my injury"

thats like saying "oh i am a woman, but if i had a d1ck, id prep you in the as5"

yknow for all the attempts of the moderators to stop aolese and all those other, commendable i must say, attempts to not "degenerate" the discussions on this forum, this thread really grinds all those attempts to moot now doesnt it.

he is a kid, nineteen, he bragged, so what. how much grown up are you to take him seriously? its just a brag, not a homicide, let it go for chrissakes.
and jeez, kona, you are one of the sensible ones here. the photographer guy didnt even say nothing to you, whats the point of coming with a lame comment like that, it just makes you look half-as5ed man.

this hank guy has obviously a problem. i dont know who he is, nor care to, but godamn man, you keep coming back with your ****ing insults and your ****ing condescension, it makes me think you got low esteem back there in real life and need to prep it up by coming here for some reason. i mean you probably dont, i hope you dont, but it sure does seem like you do.

yknow, lesson number one- biking isnt everything in life. sure its a great thing. but man hank brother, you may be a great biker but you sure are one miserable son of a *****.

jeez.

Why? It's entertaining while at the same time illustrating how silly it is to rely on keyboard courage.

No kidding. It's just a hobby. One of many if you're lucky.

You sure make a whole bunch of assumptions based upon getting all riled up after reading a bunch of words on the internet.

p.s. Might I recommend decaf?

Really not to argue, have you ever gone through any knee reconstruction?

Pins and screws are holding my left kneecap together, and had to have my ACL rebuilt in the same knee and have a permanent limp now.

Trust me, I'm not challenging anyone to race. Unless I missed something in the past day or so, he's agreed in most part to take part in the race, he's willing to back the words up this time. Do I think it is a wise move, no I don't, but he has agreed to take part, and I will not hold it off.

Was just taking up conversation after all.

Ankush, don't mess with fire. And by the looks of all of your swearing, member bashing and name-dropping (*ahem* GOD) it's obvious that's where you're heading anyway......step gently, grasshopper, for blisters may form on the feet.

Ah yes, that fruitloop "Killer B":

"I'm not the least bit afraid to bet that I can, quite easily,

while riding my daughter's Next 21-speed I bought her from
Wal-Mart for less than $100.

I wonder how many other's on here would be willing to bet say, $1000?

Is one to be lead to the assumption that you have that $1,000/ $2,000 in cash?
Or is it more bait for attention...

Yea ankush, if your going to say anything negative about anyone do it without cussing that way it will be acceptable. Just try not to step on hank reardens toes, or he might break your post apart and try to make you look like a fool! (though I do find it funny that anytime anyone says anything remotely negative to hank he feels the need to defend himself, which Im sure he will in response to this post).Just in case you hand't noticed ankush(hank rearden feeds off of making others look bad, thats his main purpose in joining the forum) Honestly, Im just sick of this stupid thread, I want to race him and the discussion really needs to end there. This thread is long past its due for actually being useful.

I dont even know why people think the forecast is great over here, the winds are upwards of 80mph(at least thats what the news says) which is enough to make me lose my balance on my bike. Its rainy, overcast, foggy and wet outside. Bleh. Maybe Im just picky.

Really?

Bar ends are where you sit and boast.
They have stools
My bike is set up for 2 types of climbing -has no bar ends.
I might use barends more horizontal to get areo for flatland.
I'd use them to get my hands\chest out and get air better pushing high gear ratios.
Climbing is about saddle hight, correct knee\axle and low gear ratio IMO.

Jumping, all mountain..no bar ends.
I see them like attached pedals. Think about your arm in between barends\bar in an endo if your grip slips. I've come off bikes riding the toptube with my crotch and one foot ont the pedals. Also flipped them over my head -so sitting up I saw the bike bounce in front of me.

You have to do most climbing sitting spinning, getting off for dear life.
Or and you can learn to use different muscle groups and rest others.
^-climbing I use my bars as I'm pulling the front wheel over stuff or I'm adjusting the tilt of my balance to the drive wheel.
*
Barends...weigh in as a no.
Some CX racing is done with the hand position barends would suggest.
Low over the headset, not like risers.

Does that really ever happen? It really would just blow you away in the wind. Nothing could ever be built there at all.

actually, it does happen. I believe the lowest temp recorded in north america was there also. Pretty cool place. The treeline stops there at about 4,200 feet becuase of the harsh weather.

Nothing is built there except a antartic type weather station and there is a glacier there almost year round.

What, you guys have never hiked and skiid Tuck's??

Stop being a pansy and stop being disengenuous.

The winds and rain were last night.

The forecast looks fine:

"Wednesday: Mostly cloudy. Chance of rain. Probability of measurable precipitation 40 percent. South wind 15 mph. High 56. "
