It's a money thing.

I paid around $850
I put another chunk into it, but I doubt it's worth $850 to anyone b/c it's still considered a used bike. I don't know...it's hard to say what stuff will go for.

If you are strictly looking to raise funds, you would probably be better off parting it out. Tear it down, and put everything up on ebay. Barring that, you could try putting it on craigslist for $900 or so, and hope to either get lucky, or have someone make you a reasonable offer.

Whatever you do, don't take it to a pawn shop-but I'm sure you know that, already

Actually, I paid $850, $200 for wheels, $140 for shifters/derailleur, fork was a warranty replacement, $35 for tires, and probably around $60 for the saddle / pads / and grips, $125 for cranks.

So all in all around $1450 with parts shipping and tax.

I know for a fact that it's not worth anywhere close to that, but still maybe a little more than half that. Maybe it would go for $850 or so on Pinkbike or Craigslist, ya think?
