So what DOESN'T suck?

Too many things sucking lately. What brands are acceptable enough to "not suck"?

I don't care what anyone else says, Specialized does not suck - your basic Specialized bike will put up with more abuse than anything els I've seen (and I've been to alot of bike races). Any anything else that doesn't break underneath you doesn't really suck. All this 'suckiness' is a matter of opinion and just plain snobbishness.

Pheard - I think you're a nice young man, regardless of what other people say.

Why does Specialized suck? Because you can spend WAY more money on a bike and it doesn'r work as well. My kids don't have any Specialized bikes that they ride anymore, but I have a too small 2000 Hardrock Comp frame, and a 1999 Steel hardrock frame that they refuse to part with. One rides a GF now, and the other (the kid) has been through C'dale & is now on a Salsa streak. But sell the Hardrocks? NO WAY, Mom! Those suckers last. Maybe that's why they suck?

Are you just going to keep buying different bikes until you get one that everyone else finds acceptable? Just ride your bike and stop worrying about your image.

Heck I suck, especially when on a bike this time of year. By the way, hope this place stays active a few minutes. The longer I'm entertained on here the longer I can put off getting on the trainer.

This suggests that he has an image to be concerned about.

I'm slightly disapointed mcoine you didn't see the sarcasm in this thread. I could care less what brands anyone likes or dislikes.

In that case quit buying new bikes and learn to ride the one you have.

Everything, I guess, sucks. So, the solution is to boycott everything & walk.

And, Pheard, after Lowcel, you're on my adoption list... after those pesky kids I already have grow up. Don't hold your breath - I hate that tactic.
