Helmet Camera
Does anyone know if this Helmet Camera is any good:

If not, can you recommend something better in approximately the same price range? If not, how much more would I need to spend to get something decent and, what would you recommend?
I'm not looking for anything professional, just something fun to record some rides and share with friends. But I don't want to get something that won't work at all or is a total POS that I won't want to use.
Thanks.

yes can thoroughly reccomend this camera. Bought one myself and the picture quality is good. Sound not so good but personally I'm not bothered by it. good value for money and as its waterproof not going to give any trouble.

edit - I just checked your website and the ones you use are a little too rich for my blood.
edit - It appears that you don't use a "helmet cam", but small camcorders. I think I can figure out the general price range for a good camcorder based on the intended use. But, if you do have any other suggestion, I'd appreciate it.

I have been using the SD-100 for years to make my videos, on and off the bike. It limits you to 30 second clips max, which may not do for extensive mtb filming, but I find that the 30-second limit forces me to make quick decisions when I film and ensures that I don't pad my films with fluff.
Using your existing equipment creatively can lead to nice results.
cheers
