General MTB Thread...

I haven't been riding much lately. I've been spending too much time with a flyrod in my hand. This is reallly gonna hurt me when we roll TGMBG style.

Haha, you have to bring it up here though...world class trout fishing on the Bow River in Calgary. I had to go out with a newer employee and train them on the boat during a project on Tuesday. We caught a few hundred rainbows, browns, and mountain whitefish...but we were using electricity so we were cheating.
Oh yeah, the riding is good here too...as long as all of this snow gets the hell out of here soon!

Snow looks like fun. Ive spent the week in the smack bang middle of the state, out in the bush. Brought my bike for the beautiful ~30 degree days.

Place called Leonora/Gwalia (Don't pronounce that how it looks - gor-lee-ah). Fecking awesome country. Didnt spen too much time on the MTB though - most of the time i was out on the station bikes, swag on the back heading bush for the night.

Just one of my few steeds for the last week.

Gotta love campfire mornings.....

I know what you mean I broke my brake lever and the local shop I like didn't have any in stock. I haven't ridden since friday. On the plus side I ordered some purple ano brake levers from twenty6, we'll see how awesome they really look.

I took my Horse for its maiden ride the day before i skipped town to head bush. Pushed to the top, had to take my pants off to get my leg armour on (I'll remember not to wear those pants again) and picked my bike up to find that my rear brake lever was pi$$ing fluid EVERYWHERE.
FECK!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Managed to crawl down half a run, before they just grabbed through a rockgarden sending me OTB, to which i rolled down the fireroad to the trailhead and zipped home. Gosh, in all the time I've had my Horse ive done 1/2 a run. Hopefully get some riding in tomorrow.

Oops, I forgot that I did in fact go riding later that evening. So it's been a little over a week.

Well as long as we're still beitching and moaning, twenty6 stopped making purple ano parts. So no fancy brake levers for me.

The flu vaccine this year was pretty useless so the bug is spreading like mad. One of the worst flu seasons we've had in some time. Rest. Rest. Rest. Do not ride until you feel better.

Last summer I used the bike-scooter method that Pete shared with me to get my then six year-old riding two wheels. I started my 4, going on 5, a week ago on the bike-scooter. Today this is what she was doing.

Hope you guys have a great weather for the ride, We're expecting lot's of pics!
