That is great! As a kid, we lived outside Chicago and had frozen lakes to skate and play hockey on. it was a great pastime!

I thought the same thing. Aren't all canadians born with a hockey stick in their hands?

Yeah, and my Mom wasn't too happy about that.

I did play some shinny but never on a team. I think shinny is more Canadian than organized hockey, no?

rankin116 02-29-08 03:36 PM

What's shinny? You guys ever curl? I love watching that. And no, I'm not kidding.

Shinny is shinny hockey. Pick-up hockey.

I don't think I've curled. Maybe once or twice. It's usually an excuse for drinking, much like ice fishing.

mtnbiker66 02-29-08 03:51 PM

Hockey, curling and ice fishing? Are those real sports?

C Law 02-29-08 03:53 PM

certainly not as real as nascar or poker

Very true. Noodlin' for catfish is also a great undertaking for a man of sport This is just my 2 cents but pitching horse shoes should be an olympic sport.

Cheeto 02-29-08 04:12 PM

I miss being able to skate/play hockey outdoors.

I don't miss weak ice spots.

C Law 02-29-08 04:16 PM

If curling is, then horse shoes should be as well.

And Jarts too.

Although, I'm with rankin, I love watching it for some reason.

I think it is the yelling that I can't understand

Cheeto 03-01-08 11:46 PM

I rode my friends hardrock today, a bit smaller frame, but the feel of the geometry of that bike is so great. I love how I sit on it, and the look is sweet.

I'm almost mad I got a trek 3900 instead.

mtnbiker66 03-02-08 07:32 AM

You should be mad.

Cheeto 03-02-08 07:46 AM

I am mad.
Stupid LBS guy steered me to trek!
Ok, so he's not stupid... but um... The Hard rock is soooo much cooler and better spec'd

mtnbiker66 03-02-08 08:00 AM

You gotta be cool. Thats really where it's at.

Cheeto 03-02-08 04:10 PM

Wow. I change my drawers every day; I don't think I'd "find" anything like that stuffed in 'em unbeknownst to me.

:p I knew that - - just had to give you a bad time (someone has to). Welcome back. And good find - - always good to turn up a little unexpected dough.

Dannihilator 03-02-08 10:54 PM

Re-laced the riding shoes.

BFG 03-03-08 12:24 AM
