Do I see a 8 inch rotor in front and 6 in rear? (The p.2) Also, isn't it supposed to have an EXR Comp front fork? Whoops, sorry I thought I saw a MZ comp. Heh.

Thanks for the comments! That is a bone stock 2004 P.2, complete with 8" front and 6" rear mech Hayes brakes. I'll get an updated pic tomorrow, I have added: DK Iron Cross pedals, Lock-on Ruffians, Velo camo seat, e.13 DRS, FSA cranks, XT shifters, and a front derailleur. I have heard mixed reviews on the fork (it is an EXR Comp), but it is working for me, though it needs to be flat black!

Also, how many speeds is the p.2? 16? Looks like 8. The website says it has a front derailler yet I don't see the small chainring.

Here is an updated pic. The P.2 does not come with a front derailluer, the website's spec sheet is a little messed up (check out what it says for crankset, chainring and pedals!).

I purchased a Specialized P1 and Julie hydraulics for the front today. I'll have pictures after I pick it up on Tuesday. It'll be my first rear mountain bike and I'm really looking forward to hopping around on picnic tables.

Technically speaking, it's actually a "Strut".
Similar to some aircraft landing gear.
I had one, liked it, never had any problems with it.
Still prefer the tunability of my Marzocchi Z1

Yeah, snow is pretty intense here, and it gets VERY cold...
And yeah, that was my first ride with the bike back 9 months ago on a warm January day (-15) the reflectors were liberated when i got home.....

dude...the snow is that bad in regina...you really only get like 2 months of good riding...man i thought i had it bad in toronto...i guess my time for riding is great compared to that, do you ride in the snow tho?, it seems like it would be fun

WOW. That is one of the nicest hardtails I've ever seen. Did it come standard with 8" rotors front and back, or did you switch them with 6" rotors?
