^because dirty bikes aren't very good models?
Also, you should clean your bike pretty often anyways tokeep it running smoothly. Your tires are relatively clean so it looks like you've got accumulated dirt there e.g. old dirt, built up. Probably these other guys clean them often and most people take pics when it's new too.

Bikes: 2005 Trek Y26 stock w/ rs ario w/ lockout
I wash my bikes after every trail ride to get all the junk of them, and see all the new scratches.
The Trek Y26 is frowned upon on this forum, yet nobody ownes one. To this day i have not have had a problem exept for climbing hills, I got the ario shock, problem solved. Everyone talks crap, but i have beat this bike to death and its still alive. I recently put together a 1,000 dollar bike and i already have a problem. Im not convinced on why people shun this bike. Its a begginer bike, thats why its only 300 bucks. Thats not bad for a bike that can take a good beating. C'mon RAIYN you gotta give me that.

Bikes: a not so stock, '04 hardrock
Here's my updated '04 Specialized Hardrock. She's got lots of upgrades now with a blend of XC/FR/Urban parts. She's my trail or light-freeride bike at about 34-35lbs. Soon to have Avid Juicy Five 8" Hydraulics. Sweet.

mid-19 pounds [weighed it on a digital scale at my LBS, but I don't remember the exact weight at the moment]
If/when I swap out the pedals [eggbeater triple ti], saddle [AX-Lightness sprint] , and wheelset [American Classic 350 disc with sapim cx rays], I could drop it atleast into the 18lb range, perhaps even upper 17s.

The reason my tires are sort of clean is because of the last ½ mi of where I ride usually is gravel road. It rains here practically every afternoon, and I ride everyother day, so why bother washing it?
My Z-150 looks clean in that pic because I had just installed it.

Here's a pic of my 2005 Kona Blast on yesterday's ride. The reflectors you see on the wheels and frame are there because I use my bike with slicks as a commuter at least once a week.

I'll try to take a pic when it's in Commuter mode and post it over at the Commuting thread.

Bikes: Spooky JuneBug
Hey everybody first my bike, I'm just putting it together now, Its a Spooky Junebug, and its getting all the parts off my old bike.
Manitou EFC (yeah baby!), Syncros stem, Profile riser handlebar, XT thumbshifters, TechLite v-brake specific brake levers, xt v-brakes, some random LX wheelset, STX crankset(i broke my Kookas) Xt rear derailler with Aluminum Shift Biscuts, Ringle Moby seatpost and Brooks leather saddle, XT bottom bracket and front derrailler, 747 (?) pedals oh yeah and Klein Death Grip tires, 1.95 in the front, 2.35 in the rear. A lot of this stuff will be replace as I can afford, it may be old, but atleast it's quality stuff
And my wifes bike is an OLD Cannondale full suspension, I think it was thier first design, this ones got all the left overs and old parts I had collected thru the years, but it works for her(it hangs in the garage as good as a new bike can!) Its got a nicer LX crankset i may steal from her

Bikes: norco manik, dekerf generation, brody devo
Just got back from whistler yesterday, picked up my used manik(stock for now). I fell in love with it the moment i rode it out of the store. For being a whistler rental it is in awesome shape, the frame has some chips, the BB wobles a bit on one side, and the rear wheel needs a bit of adjustment, thats it. Even the stanchions were perfect untill i have it for 2 days and i already have a nice scratch on one, i think it was during transport on the greyhound, no leaks though. I included a picture comparing the exr pro on my dekerf to my new drop off triple, the exr looks like a joke. Also i know that the drop off triple is the cheapest triple clamp offered by marz but it is definently a welcome improvement over my exr pro. I read all the reviews i could find for this bike, and they are right, it is heavy, not a good climber, and if you think a dual crown fork on a HT is not a good match this is not the bike for you, but this is exactly what i wanted, a lot of travel a solid frame all at an affordable price, it only cost me 1125$
. I just got back from riding burnaby mt, and i can do things i couldnt do before and other things alot better.

Damn! That cannondale is one "ugly ugly" looking ride in my opinion.
