There's one thing I want to change with it. Like how it rides, the fork is a bit of a pig, but will take that as a trade off for stiffness and the 32mm stanctions. The one thing I want to change is the travel, want to lower it to 100/110mm instead of the 120 it has, it's still the same height as the black that was on it. So I'm thinking about changing it to a u-turn setup and putting in a MoCo cartridge.

Wait, what? New fork of the RS variety?

The Solo Air and Dual Air stuff is super easy to drop travel internally on, and obviously if you swap to a U-turn coil or air setup no problem either.

Picked up a 09 Rock Shox Tora 318 for cheap for the sidekick and unfortunately it's stuck at 120mm of travel. I would need the U-turn coil spring for it. I liked the idea of 32mm chromoly stanctions, was something I missed from the argyle, I can easily live without the 20mm thru axle on the sidekick being that I plan on lowering it a bit, and that I'll be building the Exalt soon, which will warrant a 20mm thru axle.

Edit, thing?, what the heck was I thinking.

I do have to say, I never should have ventured away from the Rock Shox stuff when I built the fisher up. More proof riding that fisher really screwed things up with me.

Gotcha. Yeah, the Tora I had for a while worked quite well.

So it's a Solo Air model set to 120mm? Should be easy enough to drop some pvc in there as another 20mm of spacer to drop it down. Couple cents cost wise vs. the price of a new U-turn stack. It's actually super easy to do to the Solo Air Tora.

Can't you just pull the little spacer off the top of the coil and snap it on the bottom of the damper and it'll be set at 100mm?

Ok, I'm not going to lower it. Feel is pretty good as is and I'm getting used to the handling.
