Never bought a bike where the owner threw in a dog to boot.

Great find, BTW.

My ears hurt; you can quit shouting now.

Nice whip you've added to your stable there.

They don't - - it's all Photoshop and mirrors.

. Actually, they also now make a Knucklebox-equipped Scapegoat that doesn't look too bad. Oh, and the '10 Mission 3 comes stock with the Hammerscmidt.

^^ I saw that. When I saw jwh's post, I googled it out of curiosity. This actually leads nicely into a question I've been kicking around in my head for a while. Car companies often have a "halo" product, even if their typical products are much more humble. Ford used to have the GT; now I guess it'd be the Mustang Cobra. Chevy has the Z06. Etc. I was wondering if cheap bike brands have halo products too. I started googling and didn't find much, except that Mongoose still has some nice products.

^^ They do sometimes in the sense that a brand may field a race team on a bike that really doesn't exist. More than a few companies have had downhill teams on 'their' bike that often turned out to be just rebadged Turner DHRs or Intense M-1s.

^^ Can't see how Turner and Intense would let them unless they're getting paid for the right. Very interesting.

They needed a world-class DH machine for their team riders but did not have one of their own. Utilized a variation of the old Uzzi DH front triangle.

An early Eric Carter "Mongoose" - - Turner DHR:

A couple years before Minnaar showed up with the Honda RN-01, Honda sponsored a team riding DHRs too.

There was one of those on my local c-list for the past few months. Made by intense for haro.

Here it is in fact: https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/m...728526762.html

First MTB, picked it up a few weeks ago. 2010 Fuji Tahoe 29 SL. I love it! I've already got some parts to swap on to it!

I've actually got a friend who just built up a Scapegoat (got an ebay'd frame). The thing's quite sick, and I dont think its too bad to ride, but it looks a bit, um, Mexican (with the red DC Swiss wheels he's got on it). Next chance I get I'll post up a pic of it.

My bike...Can't believe the frame hasn't broke yet. Still fun, I swear it has to weigh <30 lbs.
Needs new tires, seat, 36t chainring and wheels. But i figure the frame isn't worth a nice set of wheels. And the shocks haven't really worked for a year.

Yes that's a 9 speed derailleur on a 8 speed cassette
