Thanks! The only reasons I haven't upgraded are being in school and cheapness. I really DO need a new saddle... This probably shows my ignorance, but I wasn't aware of an easy way to convert threaded to threadless. (Is it really that big of an improvement?) If I were to get a new fork, would it be worthwhile to skip the v-brakes and get a disc brake up front? Kinda just thinking outloud, don't mean to hijack the thread. I think I'll start searching the forums! :)
- new headset - new fork - new stem and you can make those as cheap or as expensive as you want. The procedure is not that hard. Improvement? Not that much but for the looks it's like a boobjob: looks a much younger ;) and discbrakes is no problem if your new fork supports it but your rear bridge of the frame doesn't support it so you end up with one v-brake and one disc brake ;) |

I plan to, but I have to be careful because in Germany all bikes are required to have reflectors, lights and bells.. I'm def. not putting a bell on this, and I don't have any lights as I don't ride at night. I don't plan to ride road with this, so I'm hoping the "Polizei" don't police the trails lol. |
ein zwei polizei, drie vier Brigadier oder was war es? ;)
police wont bother us here in Holland. Even better: they ride on MTB's themselves: http://www.bikepatrol.nl/plaatjes/fiets1.jpg http://www.bikepatrol.nl/ |
