New to me. 9-foot Western ProPlow. Took it out for a spin twice in the last 12 hours, since winter came back and buried our early spring.

Guys with big blades on their trucks are usually compensating for something!

^I drove my bike home tonight with khakis & a mesh jacket, & it felt great. 63* FTW!

Well enjoy that snow while you can, because when you get back here it's gonna be swimmin' weather :)

After making do with 7½ for 30 years, it's nice to have a full 9 up front.

never 02-25-11 12:28 AM

I'm just jealous because I only have 7 :(

dminor 02-25-11 12:46 AM

Ya, you gotta be careful with it, though. I'm still learning the finesse of this one. It's sort of like being in a 10-foot room full of glass cabinets…carrying a 12-foot ladder.

very nicely said, lol

Excellent description! ;) Do you put your beer down when using THIS machine?

Trek 6700

I picked this up on craigslist for $100 in late fall. It's an '02 Trek 6700.

And this is what I did to it over winter.

Before I got this bike I was using a mid-90's Trek 800 on the trails. This was a great first real mountain bike for the month or so I was able to use it before it started snowing. I'm anxious to get it out on the trails to try out the discs and the new stem set up.

Sippel,
That is a really nice looking bike!

Beer and plowing (or dirt bikes) don't mix. Well, it doesn't with downhillling either - - until post-ride ;)

gavo 02-27-11 11:39 AM

Sippel, that looks like a rocket.

It is. Its limiting factor is the engine right now. I don't see my abilities catching up to the bike any time in the near future.

It is a hell of a lot faster than my previous ride.

Mine is fairly new, even though it is a couple of years old. My boss go a closeout on them, and I snapped one up. I' went through a weight reduction whirlwind lately, and I've dropped three pounds off of it. Little things here and there add up. It's a SERIOUSLY sturdy platform to build on. Next up is a lighter stem and bars, and a more decent fork. It's okay, but no lockout, and the preload is almost non adjustable. I am thinking about a remote lockout Rock Shox. I also have a 94 Team Marin reaching completion soon. Can't wait to hit the trail with it!!,,,,BD

09? P-1. Was still in the box until mid January of this year!! Yes, it gets washed and chain relubed almost everytime I take it offroad:D. No dirt means longer drivetrain life!

Specialized P-1

Team Marin. A little small for me, but might be JUST big enough

The P-1. First time on the trail at Sam Houston Jones State Park.
