Just got my first 29er this past weekend! love it so far! Probably upgrade the fork, and get clipless pedals.

More or less stock, but I swapped the Shimano triple for a Sram X7 39/26 that suits me better.
I imagine that this bike isn´t that common over here in Sweden, but I´m not sure. :)

^^ WOW, thanks for the props. I've had that bike since 1994 and decided to rebirth it a couple of Winters ago. It's all dirty now and the only way to get it that clean again would to do a complete tear down.
