Nice GT. Although not usually a fan of their steel and aluminum frames (Carbon being the exception), that looks nice. Light?
|
I need to weigh it now that its all built up... but I think it's probably right around 25LBS. I'll update as soon as I figure it out!

The BB that came with the FSA was all f'd up... and I to be honest - I wanted the color, but didn't want to spend the money on the FSA ceramic.
That CK is smooth like butter! and damn near bombproof from what i've read! |
That's the only reason I wanted it too:lol:
There are a few other BB's out there that are ano...I'm not sure how many in red though. It's PIMP...I like it. I'm a huge fan of the Zaskar though. GT's frame desing is very refined looking...but still pretty mean. I especially like their take on the Chucker. |
yah.. I'd always wanted a Zaskar. My first real mountain bike was a 1994 Karakoam - no shock - and built solid like a rock! But I drooled and drooled over the zaskar right next to it. Never could afford it...
as life went on and I got to be a better rider, on a full suspension... I still coveted the Zaskars, I could never justify the purchase. Now... I just don't care and I can afford it. I have 5 bikes in my 'stable' and this one is my pride and joy. I built it myself, picked ALL the parts. :thumb: All it took was me to purchase a 2008 Zaskar Expert Disc (Taiwan Kinesis Built) http://aspenmaintenance.com/images/08_Zaskar_XL1.JPG Wich I quickly sold to fund the build of this bike. In the meantime... My first Full Suspension was a 1996 Trek Y33 - what a BLAST that thing was to ride! As it so happens - I found a local guy selling his 1997 Y33 the other day on Craigslist for $100!!! I couldn't pass it up :twitchy: http://aspenmaintenance.com/images/Y...1_20090814.jpg |
New addition to the family :D
2009 Specialized Myka. I got it for my fiance two days ago this was her first ride today and the verdict is still out. |

Bought this in Germany from an Army officer. I had sold my Rocky Mountain before moving there and got this a year old for $1000. Nice ride. Needs brakes bled and I still haven't gotten it done. Still trying to tweak the air adjustments and rebound speeds. But once I ride it more I'll get it down.
