Keeping a Schrader adapter on one wheel gives you options should you ever need to fill up at, say, a non-biking friend's house, or at a gas station. I keep such an adapter on all my presta-equipped bikes for just that reason. The weight of the adapter is minimal. It's convenient to have.

Got one on each wheel just so my dice valve caps will fit.
