Whats your best find on the trail?
I found a large screw driver and a drill bit this morning on the way to the trail. It reminded me of New Mexico and riding oilfield roads. My best find was a 36" pipe wrench. I also found 1" to 2" box wrenches. I would also find where teenager had hosted Keggers. I would find where people had passed out and money and other junk fell out of their pockets. I've always been a scavenger. Finding junk is fun.

I once found a pile of skin mags, a d*ldo, and a soiled nightie piled up in the bushes. Must have been a pretty cheap date.
Other than that, I haven't found much while on a mtb. On the road bike, I've found all sorts of stuff - tools, money, phones, etc.

At bogus basin in Idaho we found a pink bra, blue skirt, a keg that was flattened with a hammer, the infamous hammer and a sleeping bag.

On the trail, not much more than the 'usual' water bottles, tools, sunglasses.
Oh, found these once in a remote picnic area:

A dead homeless guy. A new handlebar mount for the (unpopular) light I was running at the time. (serendipitous) Water bottles. Tons of reflectors. Maybe I should start picking everything up that I find...I can put it all into a box. (sans dead body)

I haven't found anything too good except a taillight and a headlight mount. I put them to good use.
Have found a mountain of spoke/pedal reflectors and helmet visors though.

I don't think I'd call it a best, or even good find but I found this old dude on the trail nearly in tears cause he couldn't seem to repair his flat without a load of help!
Although I'm a roadie at heart, I couldn't leave his sorry MTB'in arse there alone in tears!
Don't worry Mister, I'll help ya!

His "good find" by his tire!

Same ride, a gal saw my camera and asked me to take her picture. I did then she said some things that made my knobbies tingle. Gah! I like a woman with curves!:Thumb: If my wife weren't so good to me........
