Let the build begin

I'm starting to put my project XC bike together. Last fall I bought a 2010 Felt Q520 for $250 (college student needed money). Over the past couple of weeks, I have been amassing my parts.

Easton Monkey Lite CF handle bar
Lizard Skins grips
Origin8 Stem
RockSox Recon Solo Air
SRAM X9 shifters
SRAM X9 derailleurs
Avid BB7 Mech brakes (its flat here and their LIGHT)
Avid Speed Dial 7 levers
Race Face Deus Cranks

And yes, I'll have less than $700 in this bike when its done (Thanks to Ebay and sales of last yrs inventory!!)

Instead of putting $140 into a handlebar...buy an EA70 and put the money into Avid Elixir's.

The handlebar is last years model, I got it on close out for $50. I might look at elixers later, right now hydro isn't important because most of the places I ride are flat with few downhills.

I'll post pics this weekend.
