Bikes: Bike list is not a resume. Nobody cares.
^^ Haha, never been here before. In fact, we are such non-world-travelers that this is the first time we've been out of US/CA.

^^ True that . . . would loved to have been well-supported/-healed enough in my formative years to have done the Baja 500.
Funny, about the only thing I've seen down here have been small-displacement, single-cylinder four-strokes . . . with big milk-crate-like things on the rack for a 'trunk.' One generic MX bike parked in downtown Cabo yesterday and the random big, slobbering Harley with a gringo tourist aboard trying to look cool. Does look like some great explorable mountains out there . . . .

Holy sh¡t . . . pinner run in the mud! Nonchalantly grabs a tear-off at :12 (1:28.3 track time) and goes on to smoke the course. Amazing.
. . . and of course with Rob Warner providing the color
. Epic. Thanks, c.

That's kinda like it sounded - more like WHack! It's still holding air (yestubes ftw) so I think I'll just leave it. I'm slightly concerned that bending it back might not make anything better - now it makes a nice spot for my tire lever when mounting tubeless mud spikes, which is sort of a *****.

Pretty sure the bike came first. Surly introduced the Karate Monkey frame in 2002. I found a trail map of the bike park from 2002 and, wow, it doesn't resemble anything like what there is today. The whole section east of Crabapple - - A-Line, Crabapple Hits, Angry Pirate, Smoke and Mirrors, Karate Monkey, etc. had not even been built, much less Schleyer, Rock City and all the black diamonds.

Bikes: Bike Count: Rising.
The mtb is 100% sram related product free and the next step is to ditch shimano to the curb.
Out: Avid BB7 Road caliper with an avid lever
In: built from parts hayes mag.
For what I'm using it for, a hayes mag will be just fine.

EDIT: I've been trying to coordinate a road trip up there with a buddy of mine for a while now, but time/work constraints have prevented anything thus far. I'm thinking about just driving up solo one day when I have a weekend or something & just trying to find someone patient enough to let an amateur tag along for the day. I'm too close not to be taking advantage & I feel guilty for it every time I forget how broke I am.
