Hey guys I've been checking this thread and I would love to join you one of this days. I'm a newbie from Brooklyn. Pardon my total ignorance in the subject but...do I need a headlight?

A headlight will help - some areas can be dark and it's just safe practice to have one in NYC at night. That said if you're not afraid of running into a pothole or into the water than probably not.

How about next week we'll go Thursday so we can get Chancho in there - I'm not sure how much later people would want to go this Tuesday.

I'm in for Tuesday also. I can usually make any night during the week, although my boss at work does not like me the next morning.

We go about 15 or so on flats give or take - it's not a hammerfest. The idea is to have fun, get some good food and drinks, ride a bit more.

Great company, great food, great jokes and a ton of fun. What a night out! Thanks guys!

Air: I have a professional true stand with all the bells and whistles. Lemme know if you want to borrow it and take a stab on truing the wheels yourself. Alternatively, I can have them trued for you. It's a pretty simple process.

Thanks man! I can true it up with the brake pads but it looks like the wheel is toast, if three 'pros' can't true it and have it stay tensioned for more than 10 miles at a pop...

Wonder if that's a record, 120 miles on a brand new hand built wheel...
