Hmm. A little errand in Brooklyn at dawn on a saturday. Either you're meeting your crack dealer or you're headed to Prospect Park. Hmm.

I also nominate this ride for the way up (shamelessly borrowed from the NYCC - thank you). Check it out on https://trail.motionbased.com/trail/activity/3389238 Not much longer, but much more scenic. I'll bring a couple of cue sheets.

I'd second that nomination. Looks like fun.

Also, if you guys are meeting up on the bridge at 7:45.... I'm on Greenwich and Hubert and will be out at 8. Might not be a need to chase you guys up to 72nd.

Good thing I didn't meet up with you guys! Nobody, not even Slvoid could have kept up with my time trial to piermont and back! Started at 12:30, saw the group on the G.W. at 2ish I think, got to Piermont at 2:27, after grabbing some Gatorade, I called my dad to make plans for the evening. To make good time home, I zipped down a bit of the greenway, but traffic and two close calls during passing forced me to just jump on Broadway to deal with much faster idiotic traffic. Then once in Brooklyn, I supposedly didn't deal with enough crap during my trek down Broadway, or maybe just high on stupidity, I ended up on Flatbush. I never clipped out once after dealing with the "stairway of heaven" off the g.w. bridge to give you an idea of how fast and furious this ride was. When all was said and done, and when I walked into my humble home in Marine park the number was displayed on my cable box. 4:11. Top that slowpokes!!!

Hah! I think that's about how long it takes me usually, 1:45-2 hrs going to, and 1:30-1:45 coming back.

I think today proves that mazaev and I are both cursed. He's perpetually crashing and I'm perpetually causing harm to nycphoto's bike.

Yes but I live a good 8-10 miles further south in Brooklyn. So stop trying to steal my spotlight. Just take a deep breathe and realize you are now amongst Bikeforums slowest.

So why didn't you wear that fluffy pink jersey last week and take some pulls?

He was taking the other kind of pull.

Which might explain the munchies and a bag of chips for lunch when he got back to piermont.

You were actually supposed to get me one of those (except not in Pink).

BTW: You're only 6 miles away from me.
Your spotlight is now more like, a halogen. I still have my HID.

Dude, that was awesome, you almost got run over by a bunch of cars coming off a highway onto the bridge on ramp.

That's weird cause I've never had that happen, when I turned back, it looked like you were near either the metal panel or grating.

What? You were playing with TT Boy?

Looks like Saturday again this week, depending on how the weather looks later in the week.

You're about 4 months early for that.

Are you leading the scenic route this saturday?

I wish; I can lead a scenic train ride to Boston though.

I would lead it next weekend though if anyone will still be in town (unless people are would like a longer ride instead),

It's bout 120 round trip from brooklyn, 100 from manhattan.
Pace is... variable. If you want to hammer up the climbs go for it, otherwise we'll usually wait up for each other or the slower rides can stay in the back and the faster riders can lead out. Around 20-25 on the flats, uphills...whatever.
