Do you ever go out to Orient point on the end of Long Island? It must a very long ride, but it's nice out there. Sometimes we take the ferry from New Haven.

Maybe one day we'll organize the trip, go up to Ct, then ride over to RI and crash at your place.

Looks like there's an organized metric century going on in the area Sunday morning. Does one HAVE to raise money for these various illness/disease events or is there a way to just make donation and ride the damn thing?

A section of 9W right before Piermont is being repaved. They shaved the old asphalt off, leaving inch-wide grooves all accross the road. When I rode today it was very, very bumpy. I think I loosened up some tooth fillings.

Can't for the next 2 weeks. Maybe 7/2. Went to Piermont last Monday. Nice slow ride on some back roads rather than 9W or River Road.

This is the fastest I've ever seen any road chipped and swept and paved in my entire life. We should all write the NYS DOT and thank them for the efficient job that was done.
I'm going to do Brooklyn Bridge to Bear Mountain (~105 mi) and back either this weekend or next. Anyone up for the torture?

I'm going take a nice leisurely ride up Friday am if anyone's interested. Unless Mazaev's going. In that case I plan to drop him like a bag of rocks.
