I find that after a certain level, you don't really notice how fast you are going. In a ride few weeks back, I hit a max speed of 58mph and for the life of me I cannot remember any place where I was going exceptionally fast. There were plenty of downhills in the rolling hills but not one of them lasted more than maybe 15 seconds of so. At 30 i hear the whoosh and think that's fast. At 50 I hear the same whoosh.

But don't you say "I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die, "I'm gonna die....." faster and faster?

don't look at the computer and you won't think you're gonna die.

There's no chance I'd hit 58 mph and not remember it.

I've never been on a hill that was faster than 48 mph. And, I didn't know I went that fast until I uploaded it. I don't really look all that often on hills.

you ride in mountains so i would think if you hit a speed you stay at that speed for a good while. in the rolling hills I ride in, it is all accelerate/decelerate. I must have hit that 58 only for a brief moment at the bottom of a steep bit.

Given your location, seems like an odd allegiance.

That explains the Albert Haynesworth chatter. I couldn't understand why anyone here would care.

Although, I did have my auto pause set to 5mph, and it paused going up a 16% a couple weeks ago. That I saw.

Affirmative, not that it will make much difference in the outcome.

It's going to be a long season.

Ironically a Tennessee Volunteer. Nonetheless I said at the time that the Redskins should have never paid nearly as much as they did for you. And it has turned out to be a predictable fiasco.

last year, velovol persuaded me to support the tennessee vols. i had no idea he was setting me up for disappointment. Apparently they are rubbish. He hooked me with a vid like this. If anyone can show me a better marching band, I'll support your team.

One of the guys I was riding with yesterday had a total sidewall blowout at the top of Ward. Owner of the club. Tube was bulging out.

We booted it with a dollar, but in my usual compassionate Cycling Comaraderie, I descended and finished the ride solo.
