Yeah, I saw that too.
A little (okay, a lot) more than I was hoping to spend.

Maybe you need to tighten the bottom bracket, or grease the threads? Noises can travel throughout the frame, so the noise
might not be coming from the BB.
Yeah, done all that 5 times tried teflon tape last time, now its back. The only time I hear it is if the cranks are turning, but only if they are spinning. If I mash or get out of the saddle its quiet.

I actually had a problem that sounds very similar to yours just a few days ago. Fixed it by greasing and tightening the seat rails.
For some reason, I feel like I have already said this...

It's a 130 bcd, but SRAM does make a 46 and a 38 for that set up.

I would say build it up and give it a try. If its not enough, changing a ring isnt that tough of a job.

Ouch. That really sucks. Noises drive me crazy, and make me not want to ride. I'm not sure what could be making the noise! Maybe you should/could take it back to the shop and see if their mechanics can fix it?

That's true. I'll do a race or two on the 50.

Yeah it is at the shop, mine. I build all my own bikes. My biggest problem is time. I travel for work so I am only home a couple days a month. So when I am home I want to ride not wrench. But the last time I had a shop do anything they said it was fixed. So I picked it up and guess what? Not as fixed as they said it was. Iwill fix them but it will take time. I can still ride them, as long as I grit my teath.

Not at all, riding into the wind is the poor mans (or womans) mountain. Use it as a training tool, it will make you stronger and faster.

Being out on the bike is never a waste. But, riding into a strong headwind will certainly test your resolve.

the key to riding in wind is to make sure you are doing an out and back route. Headwind on the way out, tailwind on the way back.

It's those 25mph crosswinds that get me.

Travelling for work sounds like it could be fun at times, and annoying at others. Last time I brought my year old hybrid into the shop for a tune up, when I picked it up, it had a couple of scratches on it. >.>

As would I. Hills just seem like more fun.

Aren't those Cervelos aero? You should be simply slicing through those headwinds.

Traveling was fun for the first 6 weeks or so, then it quickly progressed into the sucks big time zone.
Another good reason to do my own work, acours, if I scratch my own bike, then I gotta kick my own ass.
