Ironically I have a Ritchey on my Schwinn, and a 3T on my Cervelo. They are both nice, but my favorite would probably be my Syntace F119 on my Trek. That thing weighs nothing with the Ti hardware, and is as stiff as any of them. I really like the design a bit better too, it's simple.

It's probably silly for me to obsess over these stems I am sure they are both fine. Maybe I should just get a FSA at half the price.

You can always buy the Ti bolts separate for cheap too. I have the ARX Team. It is a great stem, and it matches my fork, that's why I bought it. I just like the Syntace one I have a little better.

I know this seems like a "high rise" but the current one is a ritchey pro with a 30 degree rise and I am lowering the bars. Slowly. Eventually I would like to get down to a standard 7 degree rise but that may not happen.

Yeah there is a listing on ebay that is near where I live, the price of the ARX Pro is reasonable but the dude is charging too much for shipping...I asked the seller if he allows pickup but he/she said no.

I am sure I will do ok with any stem. Gosh please tell me if I start turning into Razor Jr.

We're having the best month in a long time, but this economy blows. I never trust it anymore. I'd have to have 6-8 straight months of this to go buy a new car. The car purchase I've been delaying now for two friggin years. That fear and loathing is what's killing the whole economy.

What do you need a new car for?? Just ride your bike and drive the bucket of bolts you have into the ground. That's what I do.

Disregard my Syntace love. The only one they offer in 17deg rise, is the F109, and it is over $100. Go 3T you can't go wrong. It is my second fav.
