All this reported Garmin trouble and I'm starting to question my new computer decision.

Did you really ride around the office park 30 times?

What's even more impressive is that you decided to do it again today.

Not sure if I got 2 crap units, but I sent off a less nice email to support, and we will see, sbxx.

The new software update seemed to fix some issues as far as corrupt fit files, but this locking up crap while (whilst) doing courses is pissing me off. I ride without my glasses, so sight isn't perfect as far as reading cue sheets, so the course function was a help. Which is was explained in my email to support.

I haven't had any specific issues with mine, but I will say the 305 I had seemed to be more sorted out. The navigation and screens were more intuitive and it acquired satellites more quickly... it just did not do power. I suspect the 500 will get better with more firmware updates.

I sold the 305 to a friend for $60.

It's not really a "loop." Just going back and forth on a straightaway (though I went around a building to turn around at one end).

By my calculations (I didn't count) I did 33 lengths of the drive.

That must have been mind numbingly (did I just make up that word?) boring.

Curious if Vvol was "caught on tape" by office park security cams?

No way Velo Vol was going to get beat by a girl . . . especially a Gator.

Actually it was breezy when I started and after two or three laps it didn't seem like I could better my time. But I figured the wind would diminish as sunset approached (which it did to some degree) so I kept going in hopes of making a run.

I don't know but there was a guy cutting grass at the building I kept going around and I suspect he thought I was an idiot.

He would be correct.

Hopefully, you didn't have ride thru any of the cut grass. I had that happen to me 3 times yesterday on a non-TT ride.

Well, I got a hair cut.

Some kid who needs it more than me should be wearing it soon.
