Hey coasting,

I rode two hours instead of three yesterday because it was getting dark. But did you see how I was on pace to crush your "time trial"?

I supposed to be sailing today... the idea of rigging the spare mast and then going out in the pissing rain does not seem appealing. I think I'll just go down there and make a guest appearance at the pub.

It's not all about speed. I think cycling should be marked for style and artistic interpretation like figure skating.

I did a 2:55 partial group ride... I guess that's cheating. Who is winning?

It was a bit short notice so lots of people had prior commitments. Let's give everyon plenty of notice for next week so arrange your weekend plans to fit around this.

3 hour ride. Any route you choose to minimise interruptions, climbing etc. See how many miles you can rack up in those 3 hours. Next weekend.

I'm out, unless I decide to just keep going at the end of a 40k I'm doing on Saturday... that's not likely.

Why three hours? It need not be that long. And group rides don't count.

and how about adding the route needs to be a loop. Razor might get in front of one of those Kansas storms and do 40MPH for a couple hours.

I'm in. I suggest we make it shorter than three hours. Any three hour ride will put me in the mountains, thereby hindering my chances at a top spot.

My wife might participate.

I think the Fredly meaninglessness of this competition will make it a great one.
