No really, it does piss me off. I just spent 15 min on the phone with a woman trying to explain why she did NOT need an MRI. I explained all of it 2 days ago.
And it is not just the internet. WebMD and Mayo are have great information on their websites. It is the commercials for all of the drugs on TV that pisses me off. People come in insisting that they need a $500 medication when some garlic, beet juice, and ginger will do the trick.
Sigh.

Correct. And an Addict RC which is also D.A. The R1 and RC feature HMX-Net CF, which is about 100 grams lighter than the HMF-Net CF used on the R15, R2, R3. The three cheaper addicts have a heavier CF fork, so the two pricier bikes are 160 grams lighter than the three lower line Addicts, but from all reports the bikes' handling and feel are just about identical. The only difference between the RC and the R1 appears to be that the RC is sold with a 39/53 crank/11-25 cassette and the R1 ships with a compact crank and an 11-28T cassette. Not sure on the RC price, the R1 was $5600 or $6K or something like that. But that makes the R2 at half that price so compelling. I'm telling you, the bike just friggin rocks, particularly if you like to climb, and I do a load of climbing around here.
Hey, my Addict weighs 15lbs., 14 oz with Ultegra and the D.A. 7850 clincher wheels. That's 5 oz. lighter than my old Six13 weighed with Zipp tubular wheels. And it really is a pleasure to ride, even though it is stiff, it has some vertical compliance and road shock absorption. If I didn't love it so much I wouldn't be going for the same bike brand new less than a year later just to get a fresh edition. But the way I'm doing it, it's not so pricey, my LBS makes it much easier by parting it out for me and selling all that crap on eBay for me.
Even with the heavier CF, the heaviest Addict frame is only about 900 grams. That's very light. The forks on the cheaper bikes are a little heavier than some higher end light forks @ 390 grams (light CF forks are 330), but it still builds up to a very light bicycle. But the light weight is only part of the appeal. The bike just feels tremendous. Everybody I meet who rides the Addict loves the bike.
