A friend posted this on Facebook and pcad was my first thought.

"the trick is to keep losing weight until your friends and family ask you if you've been sick. then you know you're within 10 pounds. if they start whispering to each other, wondering if you've got cancer or aids, you're within 5. when they actually do an intervention, you're at race weight."

You've always got some kind of uprising in socialist land.

Hey coasting,

I have no idea what this does, but maybe it will help you ride faster than 16 mph.

Yeah, could be. They were apparently trying to fill 2-3 positions of the same job though. It's kind specialized, and not many people are qualified so I thought he was a shoo-in. Ah well.

Frustrating because I've wanted him to find a new job since we met. His current employer is vile. (But at least he has a job.)

Machinists are all nut jobs. Owners that are machinists are the whole tree.

I offered tips. Then I gave coasting something to exercise his lungs.

How much more helpful can I be?

Ha!
I think supervisors who should have never left the floor are worse than the owners.
My brothers are both machinists/tool and die makers, and I married one. I'm considering the implications of this.
(after a long line of artists, musicians, and computer nerds. Oh, and one rally team mechanic.)

Yeah, when you can't sit on the saddle, you will be faster.

My lungs are burning. It might have something to do with the cloud of smoky haze that's descended on this town. My wife was in spin class with someone this morning who evacuated the fire and believes she lost her house. To wake up and go to spin class after potentially losing your house to a wildfire shows exercise dedication.
