We bonded while kvetching about the crappy relationships we were in at the time. Then she left the bum, met someone else, got married and I didn't see much of her after that. I was happy for her, and we're still friends, but we only see each other a couple times a year now.

this chocolate prridge is really good. oats, 85% chocolate, walnuts, cinnamon. not bad.

It wasn't really supposed to be the focus of the story.

OK, why did she shave the chocolate with her teeth? How about just biting a chunk off?

actually i did get the point. i worked with someone on a couple of projects where she gave me a whole tube of cookies to keep in my desk with the instruction that she was allowed one a day at most. i was to help myself if i wanted. it was truely pathetic, the pleading everyday at about 4 pm. she did lose weight.

She couldn't spare the calories to eat the whole piece, and she thought by having the tiny indulgence, it would keep her from wrecking her diet. I thought it was kind of dumb, but it worked. She got skinny.

the trick is to buy really high cocoa chocolate so there is less sugar and added fat. the problem is the bitterness is not to everyone's taste. i got a 100% cocoa block and it tasted like putting a spoonful of instant coffee granules in your mouth. really nasty.

following datlas's discussion of cold induced asthma, i went and got an appointment with my gp to ask if i have this. that was ages ago and the weather has warmed up a lot now. what a waste of time. oh well, i've waited this long i might as well go to the appointment tomorrow.

i'm going to do a good solid ride tomorrow. first time in over 2 weeks. i tried today but there were some sketchy ice patches.

I missed this earlier. Apparently, you can use borax for eye wash... but as my advice is unreliable, you should probably stick with whatever recipe you found.

HTFU.

I am going on my usual wednesday ride tomorrow, we will have to be careful because of the recent snow but I suspect we will still get a good ride in. I'm not sure if Heckler has dug himself out enough to join us this week.
