Bikes: I've lost count.

Razor, if you want to get to Cat3, follow Lowcel's advice. Stop buying bikes and start buying race entry fees, extra health insurance and fuel to the races.

LowCel, that sucks. My mother used to own an oceanfront condo as an investment. Her first tenant set up a meth lab. Talk about trashed. $10K worth of damage and hazmat removal. The real estate agent was apologetic.

Residual product, solvents, and all of the carpeting. They were tipped off about the raid and left everything behind. There was meth in the kitchen drawers, for example.

Oh sorry I didn't see the meth lab part. Holy crap, I watched a show on people who raid meth labs and it was some serious business as far as precautions go.

How the heck am I supposed to get to Cat 4 without some sweet carbon aero wheels? It's not possible.

How long would you wait to lower the price of your bike if you weren't getting any hits from craigslist?

I have some and still won't get to Cat 4. Although I was a cat 4 in the past, it's not going to happen again.

Just ride more.

The only bike related things to get at WalMart are C02 cartridges and maybe Bell Carbon Fiber Cages on closeout sale for $8.

Forecast for tomorrow is 80% chance of freezing rain.

Looks like another no-ride day.

Where do I register my complaint??

Can you wait another month?
Are you willing to ship, or pay your LBS to pack and ship?
Have you posted it on the sites, here, sc, st, ww, br, etc.?

Tomorrow will mark my 2 week "anniversary" since my last real ride on the road.

Of course I have the rollers, trainer, Y for swimming so I am exercising every 1-2 days, but it's just not the same.

I think I am starting to suffer from road cycling withdrawal, I am getting annoyed at every little thing and I am starting to see life's cup as half empty instead of half full.

How are you liking your wheels, Ruru??

they "look" great. even the MOF likes them. she thinks they're purdy! I'm cleaning up the bike this afternoon and will take some pics with the wheels on. I wil then put the Mavic's right back on.

Our rec center is closed because of the snow too. So all I've got for exercise is shovelling and the trainer

Bummer.

No new snow here, but we've had 125" so far this winter. That's above average for this point in the winter (usually about 70").

For the average bike, same here. For racing bikes, about a month earlier.

So far I have 1 dec ride 1 Jan ride and 1 Feb ride (seen below) on the road bike. I hope everyone else is doing the one ride a month training plan.

https://connect.garmin.com/activity/66602650

I expect HTFU points

Razor regarding racing: cat 3 in a year is possible but it would take a high volume of races, which may not be avalible in your area in NYC or socal it would be easy to find local races. everywhere else you normally get 1 a week maybe 2. Keep in mind in the best case senario you need 10 races for 5->4 and 3 or 4 1st places for 4-> 3 (at least with fields near me due to numbers). so 13-14 races is the absolute min, and most low level racers only race 10-16 times a season (at least near me).

For the reynolds RAP plan a lot of the info was difficult to find. I reported a random number on the shipping recipt as the Authorized dealer ID and What I assume are ther serial numbers off the hubs.

They seem more than happy to charge the $200 based off my guesses. I hope it all works out.
