Thanks Velo-Bear for the invite. Thought I'd post my recent AL build as some sort of Bona Fides, I usually hang with the C&V grouches. I'll be following this thread from know on.....

Knoxville huh, I graduated somehow from Gallatin HS. A bit to the West.

I'm just trying to repeat in my words to clarify what you're saying.

this would give me a horizontal stem, right?
It may be exactly horizontal, or a little high, or a little low, but it will be closer to horizontal than what you have now. Measurements aren't exact. Wheels are part of the equation. I've seen enough race bikes with 17 degree stems that weren't perfectly horizontal. But that's neither here nor there. It shouldn't be about the look it should be all about the fit. Going from a 6 degree to a 17 degree stem adds about 0.5cm of reach.

+1 on 3TTT.

I asked what about it won't work and he was sort of short with me.. didn't really give me a clear answer. So I held off, came home, looked up the specs on some Shimano stuff and found out that it indeed would not work.

So I went to the other LBS down the street and in summary, I left convinced they were my new LBS. It felt nice feeling like I could actually have a conversation with the shop guy and leave feeling like I learned something.
That's a good thing. In general, using anything larger than a 26T gear on a short cage derailleur is asking for trouble.

In the french part they are looking for a ton of nurse so they are ready to pay a lot to get some and there is a deal inbetween quebec/switzerland so if they want they can hire some quebec nurses to work for them. Much better salary + Paid trip If what I heard is correct.

I want to get a new stem that is parallel in relation to the ground but I'm unsure of what angle stem to get. My current says it's -7 degree. Here's a picture of the stem right now

I have a bike where the headtube is 73.5 and I have a 17deg stem on it. It looks every so slightly downward sloping. I would think it would be horizontal on a 73 headtube.

I did. something about a lower tooth being visible when the jaws are shut. I am puzzled why such a minor difference should be enough for them to be categorised as different animals.

Leg pics? I could post the pretty colors my lower calf and ankle turned after whatever damage I did in the upper part drained down to the lower part.

I should get some of those socks.

Crocodiles can live in saltwater, are far more aggressive, and generally get way bigger.

by that account, some big guys like bouncers should not be classified as humans.
