But really, I don't know where my time goes, and I rarely feel too time crunched. Work 40 hours a week, on call once every few weeks, gym/run after I get home, BF/SC at the desk or while decompressing in the evening. Weekends are reserved for the long runs/swims or brick training (when I'm home). The only real problem I run in to with finding time to train is when I go out of town for the weekends. I always bring my shoes, but rarely end up getting in a workout, and since weekends are the long workouts, I always feel like I doubly miss out. IMO, people who can work out while they're on vacation have extra dedication.

I'm more familiar with the version that skips the "i", assuming "there's" is in the all spelled out version.

I guess you and I are just at different times in our lives. Kids do take up a majority of one's life and most everything I do is for/because of him. I rarely find any REAL time for myself. The only reason it seems I'm on here a lot is because I'm running back and forth to the computer while I'm doing things around the house. Like just now...I went to make some brownies for him and went out to brush the dogs and throw the ball around. Pretty soon I have to pick him up from school, take him to practice, come home, cook, pick him UP from practice, feed him dinner and make sure he does his homework. And then help organize stuff for the prom coming up.

My birthday is around the corner and the girls want to take me to Vegas. I'd like to be able to take off for a weekend, just with my girlfriends. But I can't. .

You make a point I've always had. There are 2 types of parents: those whose lives revolve around the kids, and those whose kids revolve around their lives. You're the former (the way it should be) and I'm sure it can suck you dry. Some parents wouldn't sacrifice what they want to do in order to take the kids to practice, help with homework, etc.

But anyway, I've diagnosed your time suck.

porky must be the new limey word of the day.

Ooooh, this one's in the Cockney Rhyming Slang guide

Porky, short for pork pie, which rhymes with lie.

I found Portland, OR or Vancouver, BC to be better locales for that kind of action back when I was a yute and into that kinda thing.

Yep. But one day he will be on his own!! And hopefully I will be able to provide him the tools he needs to be a productive adult.

The girls want to go to Vegas because the guys will be there for March Madness on a four day trip. It's more of a sneak-up-there type of thing.
