That's an avatar-worthy moment.

As far as my bear goes, I've already posted on its local symbolism. I'm by no means a wilderness person, but I do enjoy riding in the mountains every now and then.

What does it illustrate about personality? I'm generally easy going, but look out if I get crossed the wrong way. I'm loyal/protective. Sometimes I hibernate.

I also have a sentimental attachment to the bear, but I won't get into that or coasting will have to break out the barf bucket again.

From P&R:

DAY 752 - My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction I get from ruining the occasional piece of furniture. Tomorrow I may eat another houseplant.

DAY 761 - Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded, must try this at the top of the stairs. In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favorite chair... must try this on their bed.

DAY 762 - Slept all day so that I could annoy my captors with sleep depriving, incessant pleas for food at ungodly hours of the night.

DAY 765 - Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body, in attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little cat I was... Hmmm. Not working according to plan ...

DAY 768 - I am finally aware of how sadistic they are. For no good reason I was chosen for the water torture. This time however it included a burning foamy chemical called "shampoo." What sick minds could invent such a liquid. My only consolation is the piece of thumb still stuck between my teeth.

DAY 774 - I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit. The Bird on the other hand has got to be an informant. He has mastered their frightful tongue. (something akin to mole speak) and speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room his safety is assured. But I can wait, it is only a matter of time...

my avatar is macavity the cat.

https://www.macavity.org.uk/

Macavity's a Mystery Cat: he's called the Hidden Paw -
For he's the master criminal who can defy the Law.
He's the bafflement of Scotland Yard, the Flying Squad's despair:
For when they reach the scene of crime - Macavity's not there!

Macavity, Macavity, there's no one like Macavity,
He's broken every human law, he breaks the law of gravity.
His powers of levitation would make a fakir stare,
And when you reach the scene of crime - Macavity's not there!
You may seek him in the basement, you may look up in the air -
But I tell you once and once again, Macavity's not there!

....click link for full poem.

I love dogs but probably won't have a dog 'til I retire or get rich enough to hire a dog butler. Them beasts are needy. My cat's cool with me leaving town for 3 days as long as the box is clean and there's plenty of food out when I leave.

We've had both and that's true. We don't watch the clock when we're out, unless we have a dog at home.

Oh noes! The temperature has plummeted to 42.5 °F and I must ride home sans balaclava.

This calls for epic HTFUness.

Super bright and sunny here, but I think this is going to be the lowest high we've had all winter. It's just now gone up to 34° F.
