"HAARP has also been blamed by conspiracy theorists for a range of events, including numerous natural disasters."

BF needs a facepalm emoticon.

Just sayin'.

Yeah, but paranoia is not good either. The trick is to find a comfortable middle ground, otherwise fretting about every little conceivable possibility can drive you crazy.

Personally I favor the global warming theories. I wonder how long it'll take to prove who's right.

EDIT: googling T. Pynchon

Ha ha, it was almost as satisfying an experience as me calling for a date.

First, I get on online chat help. After waiting a few minutes someone finally gets on to answer my question. "I'm sorry but your going to have to call an 800 number for help with this."

I call the number. "We are experiencing a heavier than normal volume of calls. Please wait on the line for the next available representative."

Cue bad sounding (poor audio quality) music.

A few minutes later, a woman gets on. We spend about two or three minutes talking about silly account information. "Would you like me to add your name to the list?"

Finally, I get to present my question. We dance back and forth for a couple minutes as I try to make sure she understands what I'm asking.

"Please hold." More bad music.

Three minutes later she gets back on and tells me that she will call me back in five or ten minutes . . . and I actually believed her.

Exactly, I don't know Haarp is capable of, or if it is responsible, but lately there have been numerous earthquakes in places that quakes have never been before. Either way, I still try to not let any of this get to me, and I ride my bikes, try to preoccupy myself with that. Jesse Ventura did a good piece on it, on his show.

it's a bit surreal. lots of my friends are university students and are out helping the cleanup. on our side of town it's like, Earthquake, what earthquake. The CBD and eastern side of town...

It is slightly odd being able to be back at work.

I'm finding it is better trying to get back to my usual routine rather than aimlessly dwell on the tragedy.
