Running sucks but it's good for those off days. Works those muscles you don't use cycling. I've been getting back into it lately.

After a year of looking for a job, I got one. Immediately after I signed the offer letter, I was told I had to report to work my first day with my Social Security Card and either a passport or a "certified" birth certificate.
No problem, we keep all that stuff in our safe. Open the safe, and the folder with all these types of docs (passports, birth certificates, wedding license, etc.) is not there. Someone remembers seeing somewhere when my son needed to get his license.
I begin to freak out. I can't start work without the docs and to get them replaced would take a couple of weeks.
I go back through the safe. I find a folder of paperwork from my mother's estate. It has things like her obituary, a copy of her death certificate, her funeral plans, her will, etc. Also in there is an envelope with the words "Charles - papers" on it. I open it up and there are my report cards from grades 1-12, college acceptance letters, my childhood immunization record, and lo and behold, my FIRST EVER Social Security card, along with a "certified" copy of my birth certificate.
Thank you Mom!...you're still looking out for me from beyond!

My ears wish I had done the same. I went to this Winter Jam. Good grief, when you can feel your seat shaking under you, you know volume that can't be good for the hearing.
I think I was the oldest non-parent there. I must have felt like Pcad when he went to the Third Eye Blind concert (I wish I could find that post, it's funny).

I just went to watch my school's basketball game.. competition for states. We won, woo! It smelled so strongly of alcohol and marijuana. It was seriously unsafe to drive around there, but I had to.
