Cyclocomputer recommendations
I am riding an EZ-1 and would like to get a bicycle computer for it. Are there any that work better with recumbents than others? Can I just get a wireless Cateye for $20 at Nashbar and calibrate it to my front wheel? Thanks!

Many wireless computers don't work on 'bents because of typically long distances from sensor/transmitter to receiver mounting location.
Longer wiring harnesses are available for some wired units or you can look for a digital wireless computer.
I have digital VDO C2DS computers on each of my 'bents.

How far is away from the sending unit will you be mounting the computer? Check that and then check out how far away the Cateye can be mounted from the sending unit. If it’s within that range it should be fine.
I use a wireless Trek computer on a Sun X3 delta with a 16" wheel and it works fine. The only false reading I ever get is riding RIGHT NEXT to a power station.

Also,be aware of mounting the computer next to a flashing LED light,150 m.p.h walking with the light on!

Regular wireless computers don't usually work on recumbents, because the distance from fork Digital is more expensive, though. The other advantage of digital is that you will get erroneous readings less often by riding under power lines, along electrical fences, alongside someone else with a wireless computer or HRM, etc. I've had wireless computers register over 150 mph when climbing a hill, which helps my overall average speed; but I've also had it register 15 minutes' of 3 mph while it was parked taking a break. IMHO wired computers are more reliable.

A smart phone, mounted in sight, running an app like ZP Dashboard: https://market.android.com/details?i...app.dashboardk
Worth the pro version, IMO. You can even get cadence, if you put it in a pocket, or strap to your leg.
