Bikes: several. blue. fun.

one more thing - that yahoo group is an opt-in. make sure you receive and reply to the email that asks if you really want to join (LBK, dynarider - this is you guys)

also, make sure you set your spam filter to accept email from dcpirates@groups.yahoo.com

if you didn't get a reminder email for today's event, you're not on the list yet.

Its amazing that no one endo'ed into the fountain! Or maybe Chimbly did and we just didn't see it.
What an initiation for L, first the stairs, then the endo against (but not into) the fountain and then deciding to out run the pack on the way back! Was it L or EmmW that commented on the literary significance of the night?

That was me. Sometimes I do that.

(The literary significance meaning that getting together with some friends and eating food and drinking quality malt beverages and putting together mallets from random stuff and then playing drunken bike polo is the kind of stuff that people write novels about, and there we were, doing it. And that's pretty ****ing cool, being young and reckless and wild and enjoying everything.)

The Frederick Burrito Bandit's are issuing a challenge to the DC Pirates. you choose the events, we choose the location.

We will lose, but we'll be better fed.

Bikes: several. blue. fun.

i know i'm late on this. sorry, had to work yesterday.

y'all, i had a lovely time on Sunday. I don't remember winners or losers or even what the hell happened to those chain reaction kids, but i do know it was somewhat magical. i'm still finding bruises in strange places (on my upper back?) but i had a mad good time. bliss.

so... i proposed a halloween idea above... lemme know what you think, or plan something else, i don't care.

I liked your idea chimbly, but i'm not sure i can make it, the rest of october i'm pretty busy with work, maybe i can meet up towards the end of a pillage, or midway if it passes Georgetown/Arlington.

Tink suggested we try bike polo next time on little 16" kids bikes (from chain reaction), i think training wheel(s) would be fun/useful too on bikes that small.

oh and if anyone talks to network1 regularly, chimbly?, let us know how he is or if he needs anything.

if by "network1" you mean Ben, who never comes to the forum...
he got in an accident on the way to the polo field. his glasses sliced open his face, sending him in a cab to GW hospital for 8 stitches. he's doing ok, but could use a little cheering up. perhaps a mid-week drinking meetup?

yes yes three cheers for Rincewind.
our newly appointed "chief engineer forever"
his design proved more than adaquate for the evening (and likely another!)

I really want to play again sometime soon.
Next Saturday (22nd) ??

Game? Sure, anytime !

There is about 5 ft of PVC material (enough for 8 mallets!) left. I was intending to make a Burrito launcher out of it to use on the Frederick crowd.
