I'm just not too big a fan of living here. as for the MASSIVE drug use, are we talking about pot, or very bad drugs? i would agree with you about the pot, but whatever, everyone does that these days...at least in my experience. i just haven't been around too much heavy drug use, so i wouldn't know if it was a problem or not. but i'm going to trust you that it is a problem, and that sucks. as for the public education system, i have been in it all of my life, well now i'm in college, but yeah. anyway, i would agree that it is ****, because i'm a ****ing dumbass. i think these last two poorly constructed sentences are proof of just how bad it is. no doubt. oh and i eat so much delicious vegan food that it's not even funny!:D |

RE: Eastside Destruction Ride
non-square spokecards $10 entry fee $7 needed throughout the race. this is to buy beer and stuff, i guess. and i am supposed to let people know that if they are sensitive to caffine they need to let the person at the registration table know. this is just what i was told! don't shoot the messenger;) |
lack of ethnic diversity

i guess it's just the old skater in my, heh. but yeah, watch out for those wet max/streetcar tracks, they will jump out and get ya. i have only once fallen on the streetcar tracks in NW and it was because some guy pulled out in front me and i out of instinct just moved around him...unfortunately it was right into the path of the tracks. it sucked. |

TOO MANY GODDAMN PEOPLE WHO HAVE MORE MONEY THAN SENSE MOVING HERE FROM OTHER PLACES. this includes many of the people who don't have very much money. thank god for outer SE. it will be a few years yet before they take over here. |

man down
after the ride matt (lanky fellow) and i headed over the sellwood bridge, rode down towards that construction, big steep hill. i'm pretty cautious when it comes to: steep hills, at night, into intersections, in areas i've never been matt didnt have such caution, he charged down the hill, into the intersection, and then hit the other side of the intersection, where the road is a good 4 inches higher. he slid about 25 feet, layed still for a second, then started screaming. i came up and saw the huge gouge over his right eye, lots of blood in the street. there was a guy who hinted at maybe being an ex-emt, but matt was so out of it when the ambulance came they asked if he was autistic, so who knows. it took him a few minutes to remember my name huge thanks to the skinny 18 year old looking security guard in the bmw and the dudes in the truck. i was aware enough to dial 911 but immediately realized i had no idea where i was, so i handed the phone to them. **** though, i cant even believe that happened. i think a guy at bike gallery lives in his building. i'm going to figure out which it is and let them know he has a cat. i dont know how long he's going to be out of commission |
gosh...
|
f**k, dudes...
i can't believe that happened. moments after we were peacefully chillin' on the docks... here's wishing you a speedy recovery, matt. thanks for handling the situation, tehz. |
his dad called work today, 5 broken bones (didnt hear which ones) but he was in surgery all day today.
