I dont know most of you or the dude who got hit (my condolences) but why dont one of you help him out and go get his bike so it doesnt get stripped?
I know if I was in his position, it would be nice to know that even if my frame was ****ed, I might be able to recover something.

man, long time since i've posted...i don't live at a house with wifi anymore. suckage.
here's what i don't like about portland, and it's about the only thing: people give a **** about bikes here. higher profile + more people doing it = cops riding your ass like there's no tomorrow. the brake tickets? in another town, people might go "those dudes can go **** themselves" and leave it at that. in portland, people allow it to become a "problem". i recall taking a college course on social problems, the basic premise being that no condition is inherently a problem, but is made one by people in society identifying it as such. case in point, the previously mentioned brake tickets (and the current sting on the broadway bridge, watch yourselves). wouldn't be a problem elsewhere where bikes would simply be written off, but here people go on about "being treated like a car" like its desireable and the cops will hold you to the laws that are written for cars and blah blah blah blah...i hear chicago is nice to ride in. i kinda want to check that **** out. plus it snows there. snow is radicool.
anyway, i've been absent. i should try to get on more. zombie cult massacre race this saturday, 7:30 pm at alberta park (20th and killingsworth), 7 bucks, 15 if you want a shirt (they're pretty sweet).

goddamit, it's getting too cold... time to break out the winter ****.
does anyone know if any of the shops have frame alignment tables or will straighten a fork out? I am in need of such services... any of the local frame builders? The shops down here in the valley were no help.

meh, i thought about it, but the whole "bring extra tubes and patches" thing sort of put me off...i don't want to subject my work bike to any craziness like that, plus i only have so many patches and no extra tubes, so...yeah. i see how it can be fun, but it doesn't sound like i'd do too well. i may just go to on the expedition to the velodrome saturday morning.

i'm coincidentally picking up a nice aluminum redline monocog tomorrow, so i'm kind of excited about it. i'd been looking for something nice like that for a while, to use as a dumpstering/grocery bike, and right after i talked to the guy i found out about the noise thing.

Did anyone do the zombie ride last night? It looked like fun but I had made plans prior. I saw a bunch of people zooming down 12th while I was going north.
