Think I'm gonna go for a 50K loop tonight since it's been two weeks since I've done a ride over 20K, anyone ever ride up Brimley? Any reason not to take it on account of insane potholes or rolling through really bad neighborhoods?

Bike nugget heads up
60cm Dawes with Brooks saddle (in good shape). 531 tubing, looks like. Very nice lugs and the headbadge is in great shape. From an old guy with a beard at the Coffee Time on Dundas just south of Bloor (near Dundas W station). He gave me his email deskgaragesale@yahoo.ca He's asking $149. Won't fit in my carry-on :-(
Sunday ~ 1:00 PM. - Gone or at least not out today

Brimley sucks. Road surface is awful going north and there are monster bus knuckles through a few intersections. Did average 33kph including stopping for lights over 41 kilometers though so I'm feelin good

Made it to Montreal in one piece! Ended up riding comfortably in most groups, got up all the hills without incident and only got rained on on the first day. Last I heard the Rally was up past the $900k fundraising mark (which means the yearly totals are still climbing). Thanks again for all the fundraising help, all!
And now, back to work ... *cringes at inbox*

It's such a hideous bike...What is it about the lefty that looks *so* unsafe? I know people use them for serious riding, but it looks so sketchy.

I started up a ride on the tofixd board that anyone else is welcome to come to tomorrow night and ride fixed or single speed (so as not to leave us losers in the dust on your road bike). Quickish pace (unless you're one of the many guys in here who rides competitively, at which point it's a moderately less casual pace than some rides), 44 kilometers. Meet at 10:30 leave at 11:05.

anyone have a threaded 1inch steel or cromo straight fork for sale? Or even one with a little bit of rake is cool.
If not, anyone know of any shops that have some instock? I was thinking about heading down to urbane to check it out, but checkin up in here is a bit better.

hmmm... I have schwalbe marathon plus' on my steamroller. I have no 'real' tips. Make sure you have a beer close by to soothe your frustrations? On the bright side I've had zero flats running these tires since december. And that's on the bike I ride 90% of the time.
