TJ,
I have the SIDI Dragons and love them. Whatever you choose, since you walk in them a lot, get the replaceable sole option.

Mine wouldn't be too great for a lot of walking.

So it's official, I'm going to ride Cross this year. Any suggestions on tire width for the Toronto races? 32,35,40 seem to be the widths I've seen.

I hope everyone has been enjoying the great weather as much as I have...it is nice to be able to ride the non-beater in March!

Does anyone know if there is a Toronto shop that sells Vittoria Pit Stop sealant? I have a slow leak on a tubular and want to see if I can fix it with this stuff....thanks.

if you order a helmet through a shop you can get your choice of silly graphic...

i just read a recommendation that a child should be a year before going in a trailer. 9 more months?? say it ain't so!!

(i know it's more about individual muscle control, but still. )

ps. we learned that the bumper pads for trailers sold by burley are not, in fact, meant for cycling. sigh.

edit: pps. glad you're ok after your accident!

If the tire has a removable valve core, just squirt some Stan's sealant in there with a syringe. Should fix it up fine. Start with a small amount first so you don't end up with too much excess in the tire.

I tried this the other day and the core is not removable, which I thought was a bit weird for a tubular so maybe I was attempting to take it out improperly. Is there a way for me to tell if the core is removable?

Thanks.

I just read an engineering report that said that bicycle helmets do not help prevent injuries. Amazing what can be written for the right amount of money.

you're right, they need to be a year or about 20lbs; he just turned one so we had our maiden voyage in the trailer yesterday and he was down with it. although i think i need to gear down the fixed a little as i ended up walking some of the hills in high park.
i ended up getting him a nut case "little nutty" which is, as pyze would say, a total hipster helmet..........

Lower gearing is a good idea. I can ride with the trailer on my bike with 46/16 but I prefer the bike with 42/16. Easier to slowdown and can make it up hills like Greenwood and Jones. Good brake pads are a nice idea too.
