Doing an Industry Nine group buy if you want some sweet wheels for a good price, call for details.

We've got some good pricing on Brooks saddles, call for details.

i think it boils down to how well the baby can support it's neck and head, particularly if there is excessive movement in the trailer resulting from an accident. you would't want them getting whiplash or some such thing. you also have to consider where to get a helmet that small. that nutcase i bought for jake is the smallest one if could find anywhere and i still have the thickest pads in it with the dial cinched all the way down and he has kind of a big noggin. never fear, they will be big enough before you know it. why not just push him around in the trailer for now to get him used to it?

With a roll cage and a 5 point harness do you really even need a helmet?

Just put one of those whiplash collars on the kid, and you're set!!

I picked up the Ibis yesterday. I'll likely drop it off on Thursday morning if that's ok with you Brad.

Week long Safety Blitz, because 54 cyclists have apparently had collisions with cars already. Let's get them before they get us!! :lol

Are they blitzing right now? Time to stay the hell away from Baldwin/Beverly and move onto arterials like Spadina. Way to keep it safe, TPF.

They want to make sure we ALL know the rules. I can't remember if the blitz was for cyclists or both users of the roads. I stopped, looked and rode @ a red this morning and some old guy in a van in the opposite lane says "red light stupid' as I ride by. So I stop. "Sir, the fact I stopped , looked and proceeded when should indicate to you I was completely aware of the red." "Do you sing out every violation you see a car do as well?" "If not, **** OFF!!!"

here's the news release , it's better news than thought, at least they are being fair.

Media advisory,
Monday, March 29, 2010, 8 a.m.,
Danforth Avenue/Broadview Avenue
54−55 Division Bicycle Campaign
Broadcast time: 05:00
Monday, March 29, 2010
54 Division
416−808−5400
On Monday, March 29, 2010, at 8 a.m., 54 Division and 55 Division officers will start a week−long, zero−tolerance bicycle campaign in the Danforth Avenue/Broadview Avenue area.
Officers will be enforcing laws relevant to the rules of the road, along with any bicycle equipment violations. Enforcement will be targeted at drivers who cross the path of a cyclist or open their car door ahead of a cyclist in an unsafe manner.
This year, the Toronto Police Service has investigated 54 bicycle collisions.
The TPS is requesting cyclists wear light−coloured or reflective outer wear to assist in being seen. Motorists, prior to turning at intersections, should remember to check their rear− and side−view mirrors and blind spots to confirm this area is free of any cyclist or pedestrian flow.

Would love to know how the at-fault percentages are trending in the 54 accidents investigated so far this year.

I was riding to work yesterday and was about to go through a stop sign when I saw a cop on a bike (you can tell by the bike) and quickly stopped, put a toe down, and rode along. Turned out he was a parking enforcement cop, but better to be safe than sorry!

Fault, my friend, depends upon how good a lawyer you have!

More cyclists, = more cyclists hit in the spring. Though I do wonder how many are forcing themselves to the right of a turning car. I see that waaaaaaay too often and it never ceases to chill my blood. There are some instances when the car does have the ROW, bike lane or not.

Bike bells are a buck at dollarama....a ticket is $110 or so.

I wonder what the deal will be with brakeless track bikes? Maybe I will leave it at home this week, I would hate to find out the hard way that it is illegal.

maybe not but i'll take the opportunity to develop good habits so it's easier to put a helmet on him when he wants to ride a bike of his own.

I like all of this.

I have seen two separate pullovers of adults riding bikes on the sidewalk (on Hallam). This is good to see.
