Re: Polar HRM, scratch the power option (not much of an option really). There was a review on the powertap vs SRM vs polar, and the conclusion was that the polar was nearly worthless for power metering as it variated so much If you're serious about power training, the powertap iis the lowest end i'd hit.
For HRM, I was very close to getting the CS200 as it included computer download and record function with heart rate/speed and all the fun bits (not via soniclink).

I got poured on 3 times on the way home. Like seriously poured on so much the road just looks like splashes of water and the raindrops started beating me down to the ground. The guys at sweet pete's thought it was pretty funny when I came sprinting along the sidewalk and skidded right under their awning when it was pouring buckets.
