edit: ps. this is very much weather permitting. The Don is not much fun when it's really wet. As I said, I'll update in the morning if the plan has changed.

I think I'm still gonna head over there for a looksee, if anyone cares to join. I'm up and itching for a ride anyway, so I figure I might as well. Enviro Canada says we only had a light rain shower around 2:00/3:00.

ps. what's the name of the bakery next to Cheese Magic in Kensington?
Bakery Magic?
Light rain you can still ride the upper Don, slippery hills and wet logs, that almost sounds fun.
However the single track just gets wet like a sandy beach, almost impossible ride through.

Don was fun..a little greasy but no nasty mishaps to speak of. A better wet tire on the rear would have been nice but steering traction was o.k. Good times! No car doors to speak of either
There were a few other riders but for the most part we didn't really run into anyone on the trail.

Thanks to Fuzzz for the downtube shifters. Further to the discussion Pyze and Mike and I had about cycling caps, there's some other pics here and if you go into the directory "cycle" there's a pattern with some instructions in pdf. https://james.architectureburger.com/cycle/cap.html
blickblocks has a thread going on it too: https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=292333

I saw a Cannondale track frame on the Canadian Cyclist classifieds section. It is a 56cm frame and it is 350$CDN for the frame, fork and headset; maybe someone here can use the info.

Damn tall people why can't I find a local c-dale track (the blue alu kinds from the mid 90s) in my size ever.
Atleast this one isn't the right model. Saves me some frustration.
