Ayup, Africa hot! I biked across the city 4 times today and was covered in grit and soot when I was finally done everything, what a dirty place Toronto can be at times.

Pyze-guy, I hope you found that little something-something I left you, the wheel is exactly what I needed, thanks!

32flavs, good to chat with you again, I will pop around sometime with my friend to check out those bikes, thanks.

Fixed gear: It's purely ascetic.

Heh, actually- I'm rebuilding a tiny 44 cm Gardin that Jet sold to me awhile ago. I first built it up as a fixie, and then sold the rear wheel to my friend, and now I'm going to rebuild it with a coaster brake. Should be sah-weet.

Glad to hear it will be used, no idea why it was pitched, seems to be in really good condition.

anyone out and about tonight? I wouldn't mind going for a spin and maybe an iced coffee/tea once it cools down a bit.. assuming that it doesn't start to rain.

Perhaps, I need some sleep tonight thought. Doing the 75km ride tomorrow, starts at (ugh) 6:45. Still debating to do it fixed on geared. My ego says fixed, my mind says gears.

No, no, do it fixed -- you'll be fine.
I've done it two years fixed. Just watch the first descent off the Gardiner northbound. Other than that, it's a toddle.

Any thoughts of when. I thought I might go out a little later this evening as it doesn't seem to be cooling down much.

No plans. Currently I'm just sitting inside with a fan blowing on me whilst playing some video games (Forza 2).

Hey Somna,

I thought I saw your bike parked outside of the Chapters @ Richmond and John. It was a tall Urbanite with a Brooks saddle, drops with red bar tape... But it had clips and straps. Are you rockin' clips and straps?

Vancouver is a nice city but damn are there a tonne of crack/smack heads! Its an epidemic downtown. I already met a BFSSFG member (lyledriver) and hopefully will be going on a ride tomorrow.

PS. Go Sens!
