Speaking of baking cookies, mowing a lawn, or doing your homework...I could do one or all of these for you if you can help a brotha out.

My partner's cousin is visiting from Korea and I am taking him to the family cottage for the weekend. A favour to ask: Does anyone have a LARGE BEATER of a mtn bike that I could borrow for the weekend so we could cover the most Halliburton territory possible? Thanks.
Mark

I like the concrete better, personally. But I guess grass would be ok if no concrete was available. I remember seeing a hockey rink recently that wasn't being used and it made me think "this would be great for polo". Of course now I have no clue where that was.

The rink at Jimmie Simpson park (Queen and Logan) is always empty and would be great for some polo. It's set back and out of the way so people forget it is there in the summer... heck people forget about it in the winter and it's always wide open.

I may have been thinking of the one at Christie Pits... I remember thinking it was weird that it was empty. That was late Saturday afternoon.

I think Bike Polo is more of a West side thing

Here's my vote:

225 Campbell Ave.

I just rode up there and scoped it out. It's big: like 50X25m, also Its locked and still flooded. There are basketball nets up there though, so I assume once it dries out they'll open it up.

It's also right next door to Yasi's place in case you've got the need for some bike-hippie free love.

Ride tonight? Undecided.

what about where everyone did the ice racing this past winter, on bathurst? That might be a good place for polo.

You have bikes and mallets. That's all you need to clear the park!

Well if you chase people around a park with mallets, you'll likely need a lawyer.

So....it's assault when you wave the mallet in a threatening manner, but assault and battery when you clobber someone about the head and shoulders correct? These are questions a traveling lawyer needs to be able to answer on the fly as the mallet is perched on the shoulder.

I would think that this is correct. So, only shake the mallet don't hit someone with it.

Now in order to be a roving lawyer for the likes of Hunter S. types (RIP) you must be able to dispense said advice, disarming your clients' murderous intent while holding a full glass of scotch on the rocks and trackstanding to impress the ladies and only notice out of the corner of your eye that your client is about to commit a class 'A' bodily harm felony..

I underestimated the weather on my ride home and was shocked at how cool it has gotten. Had to put my hoodie on mid way. Should be good sleeping weather though... can climb back under the covers

yeah.. I just made some pesto and gorged myself. Feeling pretty lazy.. plus the wind on the ride home didn't really make me too anxious to get back out there. I think I'll take a rain(wind)-check on the ride.

Also: mtb ride on Thursday at around 6:30 or 7:00.

If I die while riding my bike, it's because I was looking at some hawt girl riding a similar type of vehicle.
