Does anyone know if any local stores carry the UTW sit n spin shants? Or do you have to order it off the website. Ideally i'd like to try them on first...

But I can't tell which colour that is there.
i wonder what the repercussions (to the driver or yourself) would be if you built a strong beater bike and intentionally rode directly in to the rear or side of a vehicle parked in the bike lane to feign a crash? then arguing that you did not notice it because you were not anticipating a vehicle in the bike lane and have no idea what it was doing there illegally in the first place...could charges against the driver be laid?

Now thats what I call rain!
Op...I have a couple pairs of Sit & Spins here at the shop if you want to try a pair on.
Also the latest Ontario Cycling Club standings are in and Angry Solutions is solidly in 1st. Good times!
T.J....I hope some blue tires will not clash with the aesthetic you are hoping for. Bike should be done in an hour or so.

iHerald: What about the stickers? Worst case?
The sticker plan is actually what I was thinking. But more of an ON the bumper so it's there for weeks before they notice... but everyone else has the ****** warning.
So doable: https://www.stickerguy.com/priclist.htm#RB

If I were going to do something like that, I'd take a pen and in small letters write what you need to do to properly remove it. it still won't be that noticeable, but it's the decent thing to do.

Off the top of my head, valdalism charge, which is likely a ticket and cost of removal if caught.

Now you're thinking. The downside would be advertising. The best way would be to advertise right on the sticker, but that might make people suspecious (I can't spell that word!)

I'm not condoning the vandalism, I'm laughing at him for his poor choices; choosing to buy Hummer instead of getting own digs, buying Hummer in "liberal" hood, parking on street, et al.I can feel little to no pity for an *****hat who lives at home with his mother and drives such a ridiculous and excessive vehicle. Actually, I can excuse the living at home with mom part more than the vehicle. I don't believe it had anything to do with "the environ" either. Fat chance a Hummer buyer would be swayed by anything. Anyways, I thought winning people over to the cause was Al Gore and Leo DiCrap's jobs?

might be up for that, but I don't think this isn't going to let up for a while.

When skatin' we used to roam with tons of stickers in our pockets...to sticker our town. I think I trunk mounted Mr Yukky BL parker sticker on the back lid would be keen. They'd get the message I think and start being aware of the BL's.
Today .... dude parks in the BL on south side of building to run into the store. I wait. He comes out and I chat with him nice and calm You know that's 150$ ticket and two demerits. He';s all whaaaaat? Crossing a solid line (moving violation) parking in the BL, stopping in a no stop (signs everywhere), and half in the BL half in the bus stop.... dude you are so lucky I'm a cyclist and not a cop. Last night when I left work a couple had their SUV parked and off in BL..he's readin' a magazine., she's asleep.... waitin' for a boat? Madness. HOw's the humidity now after the deluge?
I'm not keen on smashing up someone's Hummer because you hate cars.... that's so bad Karma and does nothing but further alienate the cause you are tryin' to get across.

Also: whether or not beating the hell out ******bag's hummer was "fair" or not, it's not any less funny to me. I don't think it's "fair" that dickheads like that are driving around in urban assault vehicles and harming the rest of us (directly and indirectly) either. *shrug* But at the same time, I think I like a method that makes the land-yacht owner look like a dink, rather than the method that makes environmentalists look like dinks.

It's 100% sunny and dry after the t-storm like an hour ago. Up here that is. re: Smashing peoples cars, I guess the equivalent analogy would've been to have a car run over your bike repeatedly and proclaim that bikes aren't supposed to be on the road anywheres. Smashing one car sure made a dent in their usage and production in addition to winning people over.

I do buy that they vandalized the Hummer for environmental reasons but I doubt that they were serious environmentalists tied to any real environmental movement who are usually more concerned with how their actions may hurt “the cause”. It was probably some folks, likely on bikes, so just saw this thing and said “let’s let him know that **** isn’t acceptable – no one else will” and they ****ed up his truck. I don’t really have a whole lot of sympathy for the guy.
This type of action perfectly exemplifies one of the greatest philosophical divides in any movement. If you look at the Animal Rights movement – Peta aims to win the hearts and minds of the public (often quite unsuccessfully) and the Animal Liberation Front aims to end suffering right now by any means necessary… So Peta hands out pamphlets and the ALF blows up slaughterhouses. The ALF is aware that it won’t help “the cause” but the immediate effect is that no animals will get slaughtered in that slaughterhouse that day and it harms the company financially. Realistically, they aren’t going to shut these companies down but they’ll keep blowing up slaughterhouses as long as their conscience compels them to do so. It’s not really any different than the Moderate Abolitionists vs. The Underground Railroad in times of slavery… MLK vs. Malcolm X in the 60s… Direct Action vs. Slow & Steady progress…
Now, in the Hummer case, the direct action may actually achieve the desired result – this clown may get rid of it because it’s too much of a pain in the ass to deal with – other people may think twice before buying one because they don’t want to deal with the hassle. Sure, they won’t care more about the environment but their own selfishness may prevent them from harming it as much as they had in the past. People who buy Hummers are well aware of the environmental effects of their actions (not to mention other effects… ahem… Iraq? Sudan?) and they don’t give a ****… but they do give a **** about their bank accounts so you gotta hit ‘em where it hurts.
For the record I’m not stating which side of the fence I stand on – I think both sides are equally as important so I climb that fence from one side to the other so often that I can’t claim to have my feet firmly planted on either side.
