I'll join for the bluffs ride time depending, only been there once and it was on my MTB. I'm heading east that night anyways. Keep us posted.
Just put some fine Canadian dollars down on the Rob Roy group buy... excited and anxious about the process/time. W00t.

I can ride east as far as Woodbine or Main with you guys if you leave at end-of-work time. Am flexible with route - I just have a time table to stick to. I work at King/Spadina.

i've only been to the fall show once; it's different from the spring show. like someone said, i think it's more of a "garage sale" than "the-latest-and-greatest".

Last fall was my first as well and it is a very different animal from the spring show. Spring show is big and bright and new with lots of sales people. Fall show is very small and fast and furious. Deals can be had - I picked up a sweet XLR saddle there for about $80 - but you gotta be early and diligent as the good stuff goes quick. It's good to have a list of needs/wants.
This is also the show I saw stupid crazy deals on high end brain buckets - like my $265 Catlike for $75. I waited until the spring show and ended up paying a little less than double that, but still a great deal.

update: tomorrow night is likely out for me, but I'd be up for a ride on Thursday evening instead. I think I might head out for a little spin in about 20 minutes as well.

Ran into a guy at mercury coffee who had an unlocked iphone! He let me play around with it, pretty much one of the neatest gadgets out there.

I ran into a guy who had one of those Spartan frames that were discussed in the main forum....it looked great in person and I think that the lugs and details were very nice. Heavy, but it is 170$USD + shipping, which means with the dollar the way it is, that is about 200$CDN, not a bad deal for a starter track frame.

Was it fully unlocked with phone capabilities or just the ipod/wifi bit? It's so much better than the iPod Touch and I think it might be worth unlocking and risking dealing with patches that re-lock it. Just gotta make sure you turn off the data plan on your account of you'll be in for some huge bills here in canada.

I'm also considering getting one and unlocking it.
This is the eBay auction, which is pretty poorly laid out and has lousy english, the pics are okayish, the frame looks pretty sweet in person:

Funny you mention that but I distinctly noticed that the small decals on the chain stays were on top of the clear-coat but I didn't notice on the rest of the bike. The tubing is likely 4130 since the seat-post required (according to the eBay auction) is 26.0mm so it isn't light but not an anchor either.
I liked the lines of it and that is what caught my eye at the bike lockup; the geometry is very nice, definitely track.
